Revolution Square Major General Vicente García González was finished in 1997 soon after that the province won the see for the July 26th’s day (Moncada Barracks’ Attack). Revolution Square Major General Vicente García González is a project where it shows the integration of Arts and the Architecture with the collaboration of plastic artists, architects, buiders and other specialists.

The gathering area, of ecological and environmental type where the colored concrete mixes with the grass, trees, benches and a fountain, is integrated to the platform that suggests strength for the used materials to view: jaimanita stone, cherry red marble, as well as their drops and access labyrinths among each one of them.

A great mural, made it using reinforced concrete of 52 m of longitude, made up of elements between 10 and 16 tons of weight. This mural shows decisive moments of the local and national history, also covering an area of 48 x 15 m that houses the necessary architectural spaces to guarantee the functions that an installation of this type demands. The locals with a sober design, as much in form as texture and color, give a sensation of comfort, and invite to the meditation and the honor of the eminent persons of the mother country.
